THE SUNDAY CANDLES

Bio

The Sunday Candles are a Chicago indie rock band formed in 2021. Inspired by love, faith, and spirituality, The Sunday Candles take you on a sonic journey that lyrically transcends the meaning of life through it's members and their lives. It's a humble approach, yet musically, it can be an uplifting and entertaining arena of spirit.

Combining members of longtime Chicago bands, Forty Piece Chior, The Quilts, Cal City Skies, Angola, It's Pretty Out There, Da Dukes, and Pseudocipher, it's members have shared the stage with Jackson Browne, Pat MacDonald (Timbuk 3), Gogol Bordello, Certain Distant Suns, The Waco Brothers, Umphrey's McGee, Bo Deans, Dave Mason, and a host of others. They've frequented venues such as House Of Blues, Park West, Metro, Double Door, Schubas, Empty Bottle, and Hideout while performing at festivals including North by Northeast Music Festival and Sturgeon Bay's Steel Bridge Songfest.

The Sunday Candles merge a dynamic mixture of Rock-N-Roll, Psychedelia, Blues, Pop, Country, Rockabilly, and Folk genres into a uniquely artistic vision.
